Help!

hi, I have two geese. (Embden geese). I'm sure of the sex of one, but the other I'm unsure of, they are both adults, one of them is nesting at the minute. The other one did try to breed with the one nesting. (Female). But do only male geese breed with females, is my one a male/female it does have a few characteristics, that you would expect a male to have, hissing, call out quite a lot, also lowering the head, when he hisses and shakes the head in the ground. Also because of her nesting would she know if her eggs are fertile? As well. So please could anyone help me I'm unsure, I'm quite new to this, and would li,e to learn more. Thank you

I can not tell from the picture, but the behavior you mention points to a good possibility of a male As for mating, my females will "mate" one another...it is a part of pecking order. Nesting will be done by females with or without a male.
