HELP!!!

One of my roosters is sick! He is drooling and very lathargic, will not drink water even if I use a syringe it just comes back up. What is wrong with him? I'm considering doing the worst if he doesn't improve.... I would really hate to cull him.

Not good. How long has he been this way and are there any other symptoms (foul breath labored breathing hard packed crop strange or no poop etc?

I just noticed his behavior this morning. He is standing around with eyes closed, and like I said won't drink. I haven't seen him poop, and his crop feels relatively empty.

Is there a vet around?
Could be anything from poisoning to infection to contagious virus.
Best isolate from other birds at least. For fluids, there is a post not long ago about injecting...

It looks like it could be coccidiosis. Has he had it before? How did you get on with the mites?

The mite epidemic settled down.
