Well placed vents shouldn't let rain or snow in. Heat is going to be a big issue in your climate though, so if you really have no vents in your coop you should consider adding some. Not sure if this applies though as from your description there is no enclosed coop, just a run?

hey guys I ended up going with making my own
unfornutately while I was gone for the night , abunch of my baby silkies passed away I think it was because I did not quarantine the tsc chicks
which was my fault I didn't know and boy I learned the hard way

Overnight? Were they showing signs of illness before? If not, I suspect an external cause, potentially cold temps depending on their age.

I left Thursday afternoon and came home Saturday sorry
I was thinking about when I was suppose to leave this weekend for the night only their bums have been super wet and some have had poop stuck
the barred rock chick from tsc was dead the morning after I was home so sunday morning
its been a rough couple of weeks the week maybe 2 weeks ago a stray cat killed our ducks and tore the wing off of one hes getting big.looks like white feathers are wanting to show
