my hen died yesterday and i dont know what happend. She was always mating with our mean rooster and he ripped all her feathers off her back but was acting like a chicken normally would. But once we got rid of the rooster, she was too weak to do anything (walk eat drink etc.) we noticed the rooster had a bruise type thing on his chest while I picked him. Could this be something he passed to the hen that killed her? I didn’t pick the hen so i dont know if their was a bruise type thing on her to.

There is no way to know for sure what happened without a necropsy. There are many things they can die of, many variables even in the same flock, many diseases or conditions can present with similar symptoms. When there is a question as to reason for death then a necropsy is the only way to know for sure. You can send a bird off to a lab for necropsy, some resources below, or you can learn to do an informal one yourself to look for obvious abnormalities without the lab work analysis. When you suspect something infectious that may impact your flock then having the labs done can be very helpful.
