I have 10 baby Pekin Ducklings and I love them all. They follow me around when I clean their brooder and cuddle with each other around the water. My mom, however, has decided that our flock is too big and wants to give 7 of them away. I told her they’re flock animals. Should we give some away? They’re about 1 1/2 wk. old.

Ten ducks is a lot. It doesn't seem like much now, but it will seem like more when they get big enough to start ripping up your yard and mating. Three or four sounds like a good number for a small flock.

I wouldn't give any away until you're able to sex them so that you know you're not keeping two males and one female. (That can be heck on the female.) That would be about ten weeks.
