My chickens have been battling mites for a while now and I think one might die soon. She's sick and weak and not her norm what can I do to help her and she won't drink. Please someone help me. I can't let her die.

Dust her withe poultry dust. The main ingredient is peremiathn. Or how ever you spell it. You can also give her a warm bath with some Epsom salt.

I dusted her with DE today. Is that the same thing?

No. DE is not strong enough to battle a mite infestation. If she is that weak, please don’t bathe her. Do you have nutridrench orceven infant vitamins without iron?

Are you at a pet/feed store or a regular store. You need permethrin (dust or spray) to treat the mites. You need poultry vitamins like nutridrench, rooster booster, etc. If you are at a regular store, poly v sol (infant vitamins by enfamil brand) WITHOUT iron will do. If her belly is bloated, she may end up needing a bath eventually after all, so epaom salts would be good. Calcium citrate with D3 is always good to have on hand for layibg issues, too. What type of store are you at?

Also, does your flock have access to granite grit to help them digest their food? This is important if they eat anything g besides pelleted it crumbled feed, including free ranging. Plain yogurt for probiotics might be good, too, in case there is a crop issue. Sorry, throwing the kitchen sink at you here, but I’m not sure what the problem is. If you are at a regular store pedualyre might be good, too.

I just reread that she won’t drink. Grab a syringe. Don’t use it, though, until we tell you how. You can aspirate and drown a bird of fluid goes in the wrong place.

I am at Fry's .she had white discharge come out a min ago. She can't hold her head up at all .she is free range and I think she got into something
