so recently today I’ve noticed 3 of my birds have kind of changed attitudes. My pekin seems to be panting quite harshly so has my turkey , but one of my roosters has seemed to kind of slowed down. The rooster I separated in a different place Incase he was to “pass” with me being gone to work today. I had given him some sugar water and a few treats wth his normal feed. I went to go get some nitro-drench after work today and he seemed to perk up and hold his tail higher then this morning. He didn’t eat at all when I left but by the time I came home he made a small dent in his food. I’m unsure as to what happened and what the problem is. He only just seemed slow and held his tail down lower then normal.
Now with the turkey and duck they seem to be panting very hard but will continue to eat and drink. I’ve tried misting lightly for the whole flock since it was super humid today. But it didn’t seem to do the trick. Their having normal poops with no problem and I haven’t noticed anything else other then their panting harshly. The rest of the flock seem to be fine. The turkey has started to sneeze here and there but she was eating right underneath another hen and he feathers kept getting in her nose
I’m stuck at the moment as to what to do next other then trying to cool them down...
Also side note unsure if this is the problem... but recently with their set up they made quite a mess and attracted quite a few flies. I moved the whole set up within a day of noticing it and by the next the flies had tripled in the spot that they were originally at and that’s when the 3 birds started to act different. The rest of the flock seems fine but just these 3 are in bad shape... I’d like to not loose my babies. Unfortunately vet is not an option at the moment due to personal reasons! Thank you to all who help!
