I went to Tractor Supply tonight for chick feed and left with an injured duckling. They thought the duckling was blind and had him by himself. I'm not 100% sure he is completely blind but possibly blind in one eye. What's the best thing I can do to help it??

Aw, poor thing. Ducks are relatively social animals so if you have the space, get it some friends. It'll follow the other around and hopefully learn from them. If it can see even a little bit, that will be a big help. Let it heal first, and if it gets any worse i’d take it to an animal clinic.

it is currently in with my chicks and they seem to be getting along perfectly. it is the happiest when it's being held. should I just leave its eyes alone or treat them?

If you know the treatment will help with the healing process, then go for it. I’m glad it’s getting along with the chicks, I hope it will be okay.

I hope it will be ok too. I'm hoping it will buddy up with a chick or 2 and they will be its eyes. I feel a little better knowing it ca. possibly see out one eye. I'm not 100% sure any treatment will work but I hate to not try.

Terramycin eye ointment TSC or Vetrycin eye ointment. First though use nice warm wash cloth wet it in warm salty water and use as a compress it help moisten the gunk around the eyes. And be very careful your chicks may start pecking at the ducklings eyes and that will not be good. 1/8 Tab of salt to a cup of nice warm water. Distilled if you have it. Id def get your little duckling a duckling buddy. I am afraid your chicks are going to notice those eyes and begin pecking.
