Hi can someone help to identify if thi is a peacock or a peahen? Sorry this is the only picture that I have

Peacock. It has barring on wings.

I doubt ....

At this age if it is a male he should start to be BLUE.
The top of the head .... very brown ...!
Between the eye and the beak = brown ... = female!
The feathers of the throat lined with gray.
Of course the back is barred ... but spalding females often have their backs barred!

Here a BLUE young peacock ... at the same age !

All that Blue!
Soon we will not be able to count the feather of the neck!
The belly starts with black spots.

The lady selling it says its a male and that he is 8 months. At 8 months he should have more blue?
