My broody hen has a whole mess of lice and I want to get rid them somehow? I can't buy the sprays or dusts since I a kid and I don't work so will vinger work, salt?
please help she is like full of them.

You didn`t say what stage of broody she is in. If she has chicks, ya gotta wait til they are about a month old. If she is just starting to set, ya gotta use something like sevin dust on her and the nest. Best to dust her and make her a new nest. Dust the box before you put in the straw. Salt or vinigar won`t work.

She is has 2 weeks on the nest and this always happens only to my nesting broodies but the lice leave once she gets off the nest.
What does lice do to chickens? or what do lice do in general?

Are you sure it's lice? not red mites? Have you got any fly spray at home?

Oh my bad it's mites. I have ant spray also the eggs have black dots on them what is this? Will the chicks still hatch?

Will Isopropyl Alcohol work it's active ingredient is Isopropyl Alcohol 50%, or will rosemary work?
Where can you by all this stuff? can someone send me a little? I'll give you a chick once they hatch.

Can your parents buy what you need for your hen at the feed store?

no they won't they don't understand how important this is since there all spanish, I wish I had animal caring parents but oh well.
Will these mites harm the eggs?

no, but it can kill your hen. Do you have any fly spray at home?

yeah I have fly/roach/ant/etc. spray? do I use it on her face since that's where they all are? or under her wing? then once I do that what do I do with the nest?
