help?

I guess if you planned it out well and did it with the animals heath and well-being in mind, you could make it work. I don’t know how you’d find a newly hatched one, you might have to buy hatching eggs. Best of luck! The duckling in my avatar is named Lyric. She was a singleton and imprinted on me. She would follow me all around the house. When she was about 4 weeks, we brought her to my friends house who owns ducks, because we don’t have a good setup for her. She’s 17 weeks old now and loves her ducky friends. She’s not as tame now, but if she had stayed with me I know she would have been a great pet.

i might find a farm that has ducklings that i could adopt one when it’s born. i don’t wanna do tractor supply again since they don’t let u pick out which duckling u want

Really? They don't let you pick the duck you want? I'd pitch a fit and ask for the manager and then I bet you'd get to pick the ducking you want!

@Saigey has 2 indoor ducks
I have two Australian Spotteds that live primarily indoors. They are a tiny breed, like calls. They're quite happy inside, and often prefer it to being outside.
We live out in the woods, and the amount of predators is insane. Foxes, snakes, hawks (one actually hangs out on our porch sometimes!) bobcats, raccoons, owls, very unfriendly wild geese, huge dogs that our neighbors think don't need leashes, etc. Not to mention my dad has an obsession with doing very noisy outside work with, among other things, a riding lawnmower that backfires loudly and a leaf blower that leaks gasoline, so exhaust fumes and gasoline fumes are constant. I don't want the poor things to get scared to death!
I would recommend getting at least two that are just two or three days old so they can imprint on you and each other. The two I had were kept together for their first day or two so that they imprinted on each other.
This has been a big help, because they stick together and aren't sad when I have to leave the house for work or other things.
I give them supervised outside time every day, unless it's storming or super windy.
Their indoor enclosure is big enough for both of them to wander around comfortably and stretch their wings, has toys that I change around often, and is next to a lot of big windows, so they get plenty of sun and can watch the outdoor goings on.
I'm definitely not an expert, but they seem pretty happy, and I know they're safe, and THEY know they're safe.
I try to keep in mind that they are outside animals by nature, so they do get their daily outdoor fix. They get a daily swim in a good size kiddy pool and a nightly swim in the tub while I clean out their enclosure. Hope this helps!
