I recently purchased two ducklings from my local feed store. One seems to be significantly smaller, won’t eat no matter what I try, has trouble moving, has very labored breathing, bobs its head back and forth, has diarrhea, just sits in one place and barely peeps, and falls asleep almost every few minutes and just slumps over. It was with the other duckling and four chicks but I have since moved it out so I could keep it at a higher temp. They are all on an un-medicated 20% chick starter in a bed of shavings with access to plenty of water in a cardboard box inside. Please help me if possible, any advice is greatly appreciated.

That sounds really bad. And it's really sad to think that you just got the chick and it seems like you need to have her checked already.

I like to add NutriDrench to the water of all my babies for about the first week. Gives them all a much needed nutritional boost after hatch! You could try that, and hopefully see it start to perk up soon. Hatching and shipping is rough on the little ones!
