help! i just found a fallen nest in a bush with an egg in it! i swear i did not have anything to do with this! it is tiny! i couldn't put it back because i don't know where it was. put it in the incubator. what do i do and what is this egg?

I guess you could try to incubate it 🤔. But if the egg does end up hatching I will take a TREMENDOUS amount of care to raise the chick. Chicks need to eat like EVERY five minuets, that's a lot of hunting for insects. Also it will never be able to be released into the wild. If you raise it then it will become used to humans and won't be afraid of us as it should be. You could try to hatch it than give it to an animal rehab center when it's older. Unless you could stay home for about a few weeks after it hatches and feed it ever few min I wouldn't personally keep it.
 
yes defiantly we are on holiday right now and leaving in 3 weeks so that would be best. do you have any idea what bird it is?
 
i have no idea what it is..
not sure what country you're in but it looks like a sparrow or finch egg. if there was only one egg in the nest it is likely a fresh one as many small birds will have 3 to 5 eggs in their nests. you could try tucking it back up in the bushes near where you found it ,the bird may come back and keep using her nest
 
i am in Warwickshire so maybe sparrow?
