Help!!

My chicken got some string stuck in its foot. I didn’t notice it Till now and it’s in a knot at it’s healed over. I need to know the best way to get it out

I would imagine the same way you treat bumblefoot... scalpel, antiseptic and lots of neosporin (sp)? and baby aspirin. And bandages. But double check with the experts on here; this may be a vet issue.
