I am wanting to do the cardboard box incubator to hatch eggs. I've been looking at thermostat for it. I need help one which ones. Can I use a heat mats thermostat for reptiles or should I find another.

It's just a cardboard box with a heat lamp, a thermostat, and sponge or water

be someone with more experience will chime in but that seems like the temp will be very unsteady with that setup.
