Welcome To BYC

Was this an assisted hatch?
The yolk sac has not been absorbed. I would place the chick in a paper towel lined shallow cup/mug and put him back in the bator to see if the sac will absorb.
Sometimes it will, sometimes not.

No assist. Will do. Is this just to immobilize? Thanks for your help!

Thanks greatly. How long should I leave in the cup? She’s not too happy about it and the other chicks seem upset by it too.
How is she doing today?
I would leave her in the cup until the sac is absorbed. Yes, she's going to fuss and the others will peep loudly when she does, but they will be o.k. Hopefully the navel will close once all that's in.

Lively. Still in the cup as I left her last night. Is it ok to lift her out to see?
