at 8 weeks old, I feel that comb is very wide and colored... I also feel like I see rust wing bars, so I say cockerel.

Don't worry about the feathers just yet. The male and female specific saddle feathers don't come in until around 12 weeks.

Thank you for your thoughts. Rust wing bars...is that a specific trait of a cockerel? I’m so interested in this breed and learning about chickens in general.

Yes, and not just for this breed. Most breeds have some sort of wing bar that is a different (usually brighter and flashier) for the cockerels/roosters.

I am going with cockerel as well. Orloffs are very slow to mature, but the comb is a little reddish and I see an iridescent tail feather, which hens of the breed do not have. Here is my Orloff when she was 9 weeks old:
