So I've been treating my flock for a suspected case of coccidiosis not knowing which bird it was I've treated the whole flock. Now I have no clue what's going on with this bird but fear this bird is on her way out. She's lethargic...nearly lifeless, won't eat or drink, eyes half closed, very small tiny bursts of energy. When I say tiny burst of energy I'm talking like trying to stand up. There are no obvious signs of injuries.

Thing is yesterday this bird had much more energy. Was up and moving around both the coop and run, eating and drinking. I haven't the faintest idea what happened.

The bird was free because the guy at the store said it looked different than the rest so he didn't charge us for it. But I fear it's my three year Olds favorite that she named before we got to the car the day we got them.

Can anyone help me with tips or tricks to liven the young girl up and be on the road to recovery?

Have you given them Corid in the water? You can also give 0.1 ml per pound of undiluted Corid orally to give a boost. Have you seen any blood in the poops? How old are they?

They've been treated with corid in their water for close to two weeks now and in the beginning yes I saw blood in poop but not since I started treating. They're about 10 weeks old now.

It is possible that was not drinking enough of the medicated water, or her intestines were damaged. If your vet is available, ask them to give you some bactrim or Sulfadimethoxine since sulfa drugs may be better for a resistant strain of coccidiosis.
