My son poked a small hole in the side of our 5 gallon plastic water container. What adhesive is safe to use to repair said hole?

duct tape should work if it's applied on dry warm plastic

Most tapes won't work for water, you can try hot glue then tape.

JB Weld Plastic Weld (epoxy putty) is drinking water safe.
