Has anyone had problems with the baby chick feed they use ?
Ive raised alot of chicks but now im having a lot get pasty butt and die. I have a new brooder from hatching time. Seems to be a good deal. Not sure what is up. I was losing some before I got it also. The only thing I can think of is the feed ?
Any suggestions?

I'm sorry you're having chick losses. A few more questions: what's the temperature in your brooder? Is the brooder big enough so that the chicks can get away from the heat? What are you feeding them?

Pasty butt can be the result of too high temp. Make sure they can get away from the heat. In addition to the questions asked in post #2, how old are these chicks? Are they drinking?
Try moistening the feed...and if you can take pics of your set up, that would help us understand.
