I need to know how to get my market broad breasted bronze turkey to gain more weight. He is currently 21.2lbs which is average but I want him to be 30lbs by fair time which is in 2 weeks. Please help every thing is appreciated

I don’t know the exact age but I think he was hatched in early February or late January

Please post pictures. That sounds like a hen's weight or a heritage tom's weight. Does not sound like the weight of a Broad Breasted tom that is 5 months old.

I believe he is on track I’ve done some research and the average slaughter/sell weight for a young bbb Tom like him is 25lbs, I just want him to be heavier so I can get a better sell price when I sell him at fair. I can give you pics tomorrow because it’s getting dark where I’m at lol

I've had dressed weights over 30 lbs. on 6 month old BBW toms.

BBW turkeys tend to gain faster than BBB (broad breasted bronze) turkeys do. We do have a few BBW in our club so I expect those ones will be heavier

If you have a source for raw milk, soak the turkey grower mash in it. You would be surprised how well turkeys do with raw milk soaked feed! If you just want big weight gain, add corn. Corn is terrible for the overall health, but it sure causes weight gain. The stuff is pure candy.
