I am honestly posting with severe desperation and looking for any kind of advice we got a brand new Co Op which my husband Doug the site for and put down 3/4 drainage crushed stone on top of that there is medium decor, green construction grade sand. We had six 1 1/2 year-old chickens and we moved out 8 , 11 week old chickens at the time. Since we moved them out into the coop, three have died. For context this group was custom made. The henhouse is separated by hardware cloth and there are two separate runs due to bullying so on one side is five 1 1/2 year-old and chicks that we were in integrating (x3 lavender, austrolorp, brahma and buff) and on the other side is one of my one and a half-year-old three silky and two polishes. The first night we put them into the coop. Everybody was fine when we woke up the Brahma was dead. (11 weeker) We had the 11 week chicks in a separate enclosure so that they could be with the five older hands, but be kept safe and we have been integrating them in such that way.. aside from the Brahma being dead we noticed on the other side of the coop that one of the Polish is was kind of limping we had started to give her vitamins and we thought she was getting better. She was chronically picked on and it was continuing a couple days later, I found her laying down with her feet up in the air and the coop, so I ended up bringing her inside where she continued to kind of decline was wobbly on her legs. She did at one point seem like she perked up and then the next day she died. Today I was gone all day. My husband went out and took care of the birds this morning and didn’t say anything was out of the ordinary when I got home around 5 PM. I went and checked and found one of the lavenders just kind of standing there.
I went inside to set up something to bring her in brought her in. In minutes later she was dead. I am in complete shock and am very devastated and really looking for help. Currently everybody seems fine. I did at one point notice. Some green poops are my older hands in a little bit from the younger ones, but they had previously eaten a bunch of green vegetables and a lot of grass. my 11 week old girls have already had coccidiosis from the three silkies and this was many months ago before they moved outside. Tomorrow morning we are planning on basically just taking absolutely everything out of the coupe and completely cleaning it and just putting different bedding in for now and we’re gonna clean their feeders and water and just clean everything that we can but I just have no idea what is going on at all. Help!
