Help!

If an egg with a shell breaks inside a hen, the shells can perforate the oviduct and the yolk can become a medium to grow bacteria. An antibiotic should be used in this case. This is a serious medical emergency.

To get the egg remnants to come out, give a calcium tablet directly into her beak. It will stimulate contractions to push them out.
☝️☝️This. This is what I'd do. Calcium and an antibiotic.
Stop flushing the vent, you risk pushing bacteria, fecal matter and egg material back up into the reproductive system.

Feed her normal feed and see that she's drinking well.
Thank you. I have leave in 15min. Gave her 3/4 of a 650mg calcium chew. She has water. Should I feed her at all? Shes roosting in isolation. Scrambled egg or just water?

The only antibiotics I have are penicillin for people & Doxycycline liquid for birds?

I saw her drinking this morning before I left. I gave her calcium. I've asked my husband to give her 1ml of Doxyvet now and I'll do it again at 5:30 and over night. I found 200mg divided dose 1st day followed by 100mg day. Im really flying blind

Instructions for the Doxyvet should be on your bottle, but I pulled the info from Vetafarm's Website too if that helps.

Drinking is good. The Calcium will hopefully help her expel anymore material/shell, etc. so be sure to give that daily.

She can eat her normal feed, but she may also enjoy bits of egg or some other food that she likes to eat.

Thank you so much. Just got home and im gonna give her another dose of 50mg. At least she's still here

I had a hen that was egg bound before and the only thing she would drink was watermelon juice. Maybe try giving her that as well as some watermelon? How much does she weigh, and is she loosing weight. I hope your hen pulls through ❤️ :fl :hugs
She is drinking some water. And started nibbling at a dish of crumble. She seems to weigh the same. She got 100mg of Doxyvet yesterday in 2 doses orally. I put another dose in 100ml of water. She got a tums last night. Idk what im looking for now though. Am I waiting to see if she passes more shell? Not 100% there is still some but logic says yes. She is ok but not herself. Comb bright red and she just seems perfectly happy isolated in a tiny area which is NOT normal. She has no voice but that's been almost a year now. Normally with isolation she would be trying to get out within a day. So am I just waiting to see if she feels better & wants to get out or waiting for something to pass? Im in the Texas flood area so alot of cloudy rain for 2 days going on 3.

I would bring her back to the flock, but monitor her closely. Check around to see if there are any egg shells that she might have layed but sometimes another chicken might get to it before you. You can try a epson salt bath to see if anything comes out with that, but wait for @Wyorp Rock to tell you what to do.
