I have been hatching Rhode Island red chicken eggs for years, and I have never had a chick hatch with what it appears to be his intestines on the outside of his vent. I am pretty sure this is a very bad prolapse and we will have to cull. Any advice?

Sorry, yes. That isn't survivable and euthanasia would the kindest thing to do.

(Not that it makes a difference to the outcome but are you sure they're coming out of its vent? At this stage of life I'd expect an umbilical hernia to be more likely.)

Oh, it is definitely coming out of its vent unfortunately
