dh can make more cages that is no problem the problem is he doesn't have time to do it, because of work

dont worry, a ten foot pen is plenty large for the birds you want to keep as long as you have 1 male to 10 hens. you seem to have plenty of birds to work with. hope it works out for you, happy quail keeping

sorry it is, i was thinkin pheasants. yup, 1 roo to 5 hen coturnix. so you should end up with around 10 roos and 50 hens- give or take a few depending on what you have

my bob white are eating each others feet and they were just 14 of them in an 8x4 brooder. I don't like them they are too flighty. and mean to each other they are just 5 weeks old now.I like my coturnix though they are so friendly with us. not flighty (YET) and we got 2 eggs yesterday!!!!

I would thin the males and get another cage that dose sound a tad tight

we are getting rid of the bobwhite and going to put half the coturnix in that pen it is 4 ft wide and 8 ft long

thats sounds like a good setup. hope they work out for you. sorry about your trouble w/ the bobs, they are a tricky bird to work with
