Last night when I went out to close up the chicken coop I noticed my one red hen standing by the feeder--just standing there not doing anything. I didn't think much of it because they often get up and go eat/drink. Well this morning when I went out to open up the coop I found her laying next to the waterer. She's still breathing, won't open her eyes and her legs are stiff. I picked her up and put her in one of the nesting boxes with alot of straw. She didn't even make any noise or try to move when I picked her up.
We've only had the chickens(10 of them and 1 rooster) for about a 1 1/2months. They haven't laid any eggs yet and I'm not expecting them to now that its cold outside.
What is going on with my chicken?? What should I do???
Any ideas? Any experience?? thanks!!!

Hi Janelle,

How cold is it where you live?
Is the chicken still alive?

You may want to separate it from the others asap, bring it indoors to warm up, and keep it warm, dry, and dark, with access to water and food.
