I introduced my 1 month old Texas A&Ms to our egg layers today and one of the younger ones has been scalped! I removed her but I'm not sure how to tend the wound. Poor thing looks awful, what can I do for her?

Poor thing! I would wash the wound and put neosporin on it (without pain relief) and keep her separated. They heal pretty well on their own. My A&M roo got his throat gashed open and I didn't think he'd make it, but he healed amazingly well.

Pick up some blue kote from your feed store and spray it on. It works wonders.
