I just brought back about a 4 to 5 month old turkey, that I'm trying to save. Sometimes I get myself into too much grief. But anyways here it is. A buddy of mine gives me a phone call and ask me if I want a turkey that has a broken leg and tells me I can either try and fix him or eat him, and of course I tell him yea. So I proceed to ask what happened. He said he was trying to get the turkey away from getting his bantam chick, so he decided to throw a short piece of 2X4 at him to scare him, and instead hit him breaking his leg.

So I get to his house and bring the bird home to discover his bone is sticking out of his skin, which of course I stuck it back into place as much as possible, and proceed on removing some feathers, cleaning the area, and wrapping it with an ace bandage. The bone is broken clean across. What seems to be the bad part is the break is right about the bend of his leg on the drum stick. My question is do you think it would be worth giving him a chance? I say yea. The bad thing is will it heal, and will he be alright?

Why don't you go see a vetennarian to help, and cleaning and bandaging the area is clearly a good thing, change the bandage at least once a week or anything I think...Make sure he sits, he doesn't put pressure on his broken leg.

There is no vets that will see any kind of poultry around her, besides I really don't have the expenses if we did, lol. I'm just trying to help the fella

Hopefully it can heal by itself, when my chicken got injured from I-don't-know-what, my dad and I tried some bandages and she just scratched it off. So I put her in a sepearate coop, the other one had to sleep outside (sadly.) But anyway we made a perch for that guy.
In about 3 weeks and hard work with some neosprin instant foam medicine (bleeded) I had not seed anything at all, not even a scar.
So if it was bleeding or something, go to your local grocery store like safeway or QFC and buy some neosprin wound cleanser. It will heal your turkey's bleeding (give it a name) And I don't know what to do about the broken leg, there's nothing I can do, only a veteranarian can use something to fix the bones, mabye it'll heal by itself, but you should see a friend who knows turkeys well.
