one of our hens has stayed in our nesting boxes for about 3 weeks we take her down and she will stay down for a while but then goes back up and she hasnt layed an egg in a few weeks what is she doing

She's broody. Put her in a wire cage off the ground so air can get to her underside, a few days of that should break her of this. Or you can give her fertile eggs to hatch...

shes off the ground in our lilltle closed off are she can get out though is that ok

No, has to be a wire cage, with no bedding or anything on the bottom...
