We found a chicken on the side of the road.( we do not have chickens...YET) It looks like its been pecked and her underside has no feathers( rough shape). She is in our basement with water...WHAT NOW?

Keep her warm, and feed and water her. She can have some bread tonight. Tomorrow you will need to pick up some feed. Clean up any wounds and dress them in Neosporin (without pain relief).

Chickens will eat just about anything, but bread is a favorite. Fruits, vegetables (except potatoes and onions), oatmeal, meats (unprocessed), low sodium cat food, dog food are all things that chickens will eat. You just need to stay away from salt with them.
