Colossus I found on her back sleeping this morning is this normal?? When we brought her home she was fun playful etc. Yesterday she sat in the corner and got tromped on by the others so I pit her in her own space and unsure of what is wrong. Now this. What do I do? She's breathing etc just on her back

Hi there, sorry to say, but she is most likely going to die

Sometimes chicks just do that, no reason that you know of. It may be genetic, she may just not be 'put together' right. If she can take nourishment you can try a droppperful of electrolyte water, but not while she's on her back. Pick her up, make sure the water is down before you put her back in the box. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you....

Sadly colossus has passed away along with the pecked one we tried to rescue and let me tell you it tore my heart out.

Ok, you say you " got the bird home". So it was a bought bird? Many times these
deaths after they get to a new home are due to "travel stress'. Even the electrolytes
need to be digested to help. Very often when a bird is stressed it also limits its ability
to digest any "helps" given to it. What should we then do? There is an answer. Read post
number one of this BYC thread:

Now go get some and put it in your chicks water for the next 2 weeks. It will get them
off to a strong start. I have used products by this maker for a decade on my collies
and chicks. I won't raise chicks without it. It doesn't need to be digested! Mainlines
right into the bloodstream. I found Tractor Supply had the best price at 6.99
for the 4 oz. bottle. That's enough for your needs, its very concentrated
