I got a new chicken a couple of days ago. I did not mix him into my flock as a fence separated them but they could see each other. Today I let them mix. I went to check the waterers. I was gone for 30 seconds. The Rhode island red ripped the new chicken's (a silkie) waffle half off. The other rooster I have jumped on his back. I broke it up and got the 3 pound silkie out of there. That was about 4 hours ago. He crowed and is walking around but his waffle comb has a lot of dried blood on it and is half ripped off. Should I wash it or put peroxide on it?
