I don't know much about the feathered leg breed, but I don't think you are supposed to cut those feathers. Could cause lots of bleeding I think. Hopefully someone with more experience can tell you more on that.

I cut the feathers back a little to expose the legs to see what I was dealing with. There wasn't any bleeding. I will check for bumblefoot. I didn't even think to check for it, thank you for the heads up.
