This is my first time hatching. I put 6 eggs in the bator. only 2 have chicks i think. one started to hatch and died. :( this one hatched but i think it's stuck to the shell or is this normal?

She's still trying but there is a string (umbilical cord maybe) and yolk still stuck to her. she keeps fighting it off and then she gets pooped. Is that still ok? will she break free eventually? hatching is nerve wracking!! lol

I have had 2 like that. One, I attempted to help, and it appeared to be fine but ended up dying 12 hours later. The other, which just hatched today, I left alone. Within a few hours, she had broken lose, and within a few more hours the remaining string and remnants dried up and fell off. The chick was tired but has made a wonderful recovery. My advice, leave it in the bator let it dry out while she recovers. If she does not make it, she probably would not have made it by you assisting anyways. If she just hatched today, leave her in the bator for the next day or two if she needs that much time but my guess is if she is going to pull through she will be up and around before then.
