I just set some more quail eggs today. I need to get a new flashlight tomorrow while I'm in home depot. Hubby just put the gate on the chicken pen. Its taking longer than I thought it would! I'm going to candle goose eggs tomorrow night. Will be day 4. So looking at some more delawares a guy has about 2 hrs from me. He is a poultry judge and is thinning out flock

The delawares are just too far away for me!! I dont wanna drive that far to get some delawares. I know i know thats amazing! lol My sister is coming out tomorrow with my niece and her new puppy! I lost one of my ducks this morning and so i decided they are locked up from the pond till fence goes up or until i get some good eggs!

It was my favorite little female! 6 days till lockdown on my butterscotch eggs

Hey guys! I'm back! Sounds like me and Sonja had a similar problem. My computer crashed last week and had to go buy a new POC one(that's cheap in my language). Missed you guys and hope you're all doing OK.
Been a rough week here-but it will all work out.
One of my PR hens died of egg peritonitis over the weekend-kinda expected it, but we had pulled her through the last episode-this time, she just didn't rally.

I am SUPPOSED to have my right arm in a sling, but I can't do ANYTHING like that, so when DH isn't around, I take it off.

Hoping all of your hatches are going well and hope your babies are all doing well!

Hey duck, forgot to tell you-I DID set some eggs the day you did-just couldn't get on and tell you about it.
Keep your fingers crossed, please, I set 2 eggs from The Queen and saw some veining in them yesterday. We're so hoping to get some ducklings from her. My DH is still really upset about losing his little girls. I DID find a couple of grey hens, but they are pretty spendy, so not sure yet about them.

I have 5 still going strong. I had one quit on me about 4 or 5 days ago. They look good i've got humidity sitting at 50% and temp at 100. I'm so nervous and excited.... I hope its a good hatch but i'm prepared!!! lol i've got my hatching kit all together!

Sadly, I can't fail to pay my internet bill-it's through Verizon so I would be without my cell phone AND internet service. I don't think I could handle being without both!

I sure hope your hatch goes well. I have some due to start hatching today, but I'm not seeing anything just yet. Heard peeping yesterday, but nothing today. How are the air cells looking? I'm having air cells collapse, not drying down fast enough...it's been a BAD week incubating wise!
My ducklings are doing really well. Cleaning out the brooder 3 times a day now because they have discovered that getting INTO the water dish is just too much fun! Love them!

I am getting grays with the eggs I ordered from the girls on featherauction. If I get a nice little gray hen that you guys like I can send her to you, I'm not planning on breeding the grays. They should be here sooner than I expected because she keeps moving me up on her list.

The gray hen that I sent down to GA died last week, probably of the same thing.
