I feel like such an oaf. After my last post I call the Dept of Conservation because as you may remember my neighbor had a run in with what she believed to be a bobcat in her backyard less than a month ago. I told the agent about my ducks disappearing and about the possible bobcat. He said it sounded more like a hawk or owl. So I sat here in the backyard with my peeps planning a new run equipped with a predator net. My kids come home from school early and I break the news that the hen is gone. So we all come outside and start playing and I look up shortly after and seen my hen. She was standing by the storage shed. Now mind you earlier I laid down on the ground and looked under the shed and all around it for her. I went toi the place she was standing and looked behind some old racecar junk that's my husband had by the she and I seen a BIG nest. She's gone broody. That's why I wasn't finding any eggs after my other hen disappeared. Well while she was off the nest eating and such I went to try to count the eggs. I couldn't see them all because one of my EE's was sitting on the eggs well he was trying too. There were too many eggs for her to sit on lol. After she was done eating and drinking she waddled back to her est and is sitting comfortably on the eggs. I'm just happy she is ok and happy that she is broody
