East, I am sorry you had to toss another butter baby. I candled last night and seen definate movement in two but the third was the right size but not moving. Maybe it was just taking a nap.

Since we got the White Calls in the raised pens, it is SO much better. I HATED the idea of them not being on the ground, but they just look healthier, cleaner and can't get so danged nasty!

I have to say, Sonja=I think our trouble with the Butters was the way they were shipped. Just my opinion, though.

Could very well be. Dang PO.

I caught that too. I was sceptical so thats why I asked for more pics. I'll just wait and get come from you. Are you self black the ones they call east indies? I'm clueless

No, Sonja, the BEIs are a different breed altogether. The Self-Black Calls are smaller than the BEIs, but still have that beautiful beetle green color. I love mine. Very peaceful little things, too.

Yeah, true. That darned crested gene is murder. Even if they hatch, they are so prone to neuro problems.

Thanks East. I had to learn how to be a tough ole bird early in life and I just keep getting worse lol. I had cancer when I was 19 and they did surgery and got it all. If they hadn't we would have had to do the chemo thing. God watches over me A LOT. I love that guy.
