I hope your daughter is OK Sonja and that chicken looks yummy
I had pizza out of the fridge after we got back from the boys LAST lacrosse game. I didn't have time to eat before, I was too busy filling water bottles. Did I mention that it is hot here?
East, I am going to pass on the eggs. I have way too many birds right now and I need to start moving some out before I bring any more in. At least I am down to 2 groups of duck and hopefully in another week or so I can get them all together. Since I had to take the duckling out of the main coop it is really a pain to move everyone around to lock them up. Half of the roosters are up on top of the pen and I can't get them down to go in so they are staying there and I sure hope nothing eats them.
Duck, Are the 2 ducks in the same pen? Can you just leave them in there and see who goes broody first? I want silkie ducklings

That is when you get a broom and tell them to get their butts in the coop now!
No, different pens. I think I "might" be done after these eggs in the incubator hatch...

That's what I have. I didn't pay that much last year but it is still worth every penny of the $400 if you are hatching expensive eggs. I am getting pretty close to 100% hatch of fertile from my own eggs.

You are gonna be seeing a bunch of eggs comin in the mail!
That isn't for shipped eggs, unfortunatly. I did get 100% of my fertile call eggs out but that was only 5 so not a great sample. Shipped chicken eggs run about 50% depending on how beaten up they are and shipped calls haven't done so great. I got 3 out of 14 last time.
