No, but she sounds funny though!

I've had chickens that sneeze before... They still scare me when they do that because they sound like they are dieing.

That was the broody that didn't do a good job taking care of the chick I gave her yesterday. Today she has been in and out of the nest box and making this noise. I think she is looking for her chick

I put her in the coop brooder with the 2 week olds.

yeah I'm trying to get everything old enough for the beginning of july for my npip testing... I'm scared! Lol all birds I've gotten though except my silkies were npip and I have that info so I hope it helps!

Morning everyone.
Ady, I have to get my NPIP Cert done again in July as well.
It's no big deal-they'll only test about 10% of your birds and nothing under 6 months will be tested. No worries-you'll do fine.
I have 2 PQ Call babies in the incubator and a couple more with their bills out(1 Snowy and 2 Blacks)-not sure about the other 2, trying to still dry down the air cell on one of them.
This Call duck stuff ain't for the weak and impatient, I'll tell ya!
Well, gotta go do a little more assisting of my babies that are trying to hatch. Hope you all have a great day today!

thanks east that makes me feel better!
I have one silkie pipped right now so hopefully they will be done hatching by tomorrow. Right now I have 100% fertility with my silkies and about 80% with my quail... I am surprised. I do not normally have that luck! Some lady close to me has lav orpington eggs for sale but they are $8 and egg! For just 6 it would be 48! I'm tempted.... But I probably wont ! Lol

Well, I had to give it up and make an appointment with the ortho surgeon on Friday morning. I am now at the point that I am almost unable to tend to the birds, so I have no choice.

I surely hope they tell me just to rest it and give me some anti-inflams and it will get better-I have no one to help me here with the birds so it's going to be hard(other than DH and he's at work all day). Sorry, pity party is in full swing this morning-I hate the thought of not being able to do everything for myself.

My Snowy/Butter cross babies are in the mail from Colorado! Can't wait to get them. I know they're not even a variety, but they are so beautiful that I don't even care.

Oh, last night, we were watering the front yard and we pulled out some cages, put some ducks in them and let the ducks play in the sprinkler while it was on-they had a great time. We so have issues.
