I went to the sleep specialist and she turned up the pressure on my cpap machine.
I also went shopping. Got 3 drawers to use for nest boxes, $3 each and a gallon of white paint for the trim on the goat shed for $12.99. I love bargains.

I went to the hospital this morning,
had my pacemaker tested. It is working fine.
I have 4 1/2 years left on the battery..
I wonder what will give out first
,it,,or me ?

my brother came to visit for a little while.
despite that setback, I got the jointer blade sharpener jig put together.
it is 99% finished. just have to do a little grinding on the 4 hold down straps and then it should be good to go.
I hope it works good..
can't wait to try it out..
similar items on Amazon cost about $68.oo.. mine is a tad better because I made a micro dial setting on mine.

I should be able to sharpen blades from about 50 degrees to 45 degrees and down to 30 degrees and anything in between..
I will be doing 40 degrees most of the time..

I will take pictures if anybody wants to see..

the middle picture shows the piano hinge. and the micro adjusting mechanism.

the bottom picture shows the inside works. I have one blade fastened in with the hold down tabs.
the tabs have to be shortened because they protrude beyond the working edge of the blade. then the jig will be finished.

I love your innovation, is this for sharpening the blades by hand?

thanks guys,
yes J T.. I made a butcher block work surface that is planed smooth on both sides.
I bought a piece of 1/4" plate glass to fit on the butcher block..

then I will put different grits of wet/dry sandpaper on the glass and touch up my jointer blades. I have a Sears 6" three blade jointer that I just bought used.
I still have my Rockwell 4" two blade jointer also.. both jointers are in excellent shape. but the 6" one cuts without any chatter like the two blade one has...

Another Dr. Visit. My knees are ok except for deep bone bruises. Glad it is not a long term problem. Medication and heat are helping.
Wrapping more presents tonight. He is impossible to buy for! I almost bought him slippers with monkeys on them, it would serve him right!
Supposed to be several workers coming tomorrow early. I doubt it, they almost never get here before i get out of bed and i sleep in. Hope springs eternal!
