I got the rotting window sill in the coop shed covered with sheet metal.
Not the best 'fix' ...but it's covered for winter.
Was glad to get it done, after all that thinking about 'how' it took about 1/2 hour to get 'er done-now I can cleat the windows closed. Round runged ladder thrashed my bum foot/ankle/knee tho......gimped around the rest of the day and got the hoses drained and stored and a few other little things cleared up.

round runged ladder !! talk about pressure point. the only thing worse would be to stand on a golf ball.
I don't mind connecting extension cords together to reach where they are needed.
what I do mind is uncoiling a 100 or 200 ft cord. I do have one 200 footer, but it stays coiled up most of the time. In fact, I haven't used it in over ten years.
today the weather here can't make up it's mind. rain, snow, both. but what a glorious day it was.. I backed the tractor into the garage today.. filled up another dumpster.
including two electric weed whackers, an old toolbox full of old radio repair parts.
I went to F&F and bought a bunch of electric cord ends. and a two pack of camera memory cards.

Have you thought about putting your really long extension cord on a reel Jim? Like a hose reel but for electric cords.

good morning, I got up late. I was up for a couple of hours around midnight. Hip was hurting. when I got back into bed, I slept like a log.
I have a hose reel for the water hose. I never use it.when I stretch out a hose it goes for about 300 feet. I just coil the hose like a snake , ready for the next time.
I had electric cord winders. maybe I should make some more. I'll come up with something.

Aart, did you get that lake effect snow ?
Nope.
It spit some white stuff earlier this morning,
but you had to look carefully to see it.

Got the coop fan down, the low windows cleated shut, and the Under-Run window/north wind-snow block in place this morning. Might get the heated waterer in place this afternoon.

good deal, you must have gotten up before breakfast today.
I decided to quit work in the garage for now.
I think I will start cleaning the shop area.
there is a wood burning stove in there, plus a 220V heater. I can move the sorting project into there and work on it even on cold days.
I am going to do some major changes of where my saws and jointers will be. I can't move the planer because I have to be near a 220V receptacle for it.
project #1 will be to bag up the shavings..
