Is the kiln 220V, will you have to install a new breaker box to accommodate the studio equipment?
Yes, 220 , and it was custom wired to accommodate my equipment. But they apparently did some wiring wrong, so the electrician had to fix it! It came with a good sized breaker box.

I used to know how to do that, but the arthritis has made it much more difficult.

Part of it is knowing how to roll and dissipate energy, part of it is the mental attitude that you will hit the ground rather than the ground hitting you.

Every fall I've had at work has been due to stepping on a piece of debris and only one time did not result in me being out of work a few days. The non-slip shoe covers are great -- as long as you're not standing on something that isn't attached to the floor.
I used to just relax when i fell when skiiing. Never did get hurt. However, once when my ski didn't pop off when it should have, i felt my leg bone bend!

the time between standing up and laying on the
ground is a milisecond.. not a lot of time to plan.
TrueDat.

Yep, definitely part of it......not easy to learn to do this instinctively.

I fell soooo many times the first time I went nordic skiing.....got lots of practice.

Cappy, did you ever get the electric hooked up ?
This past week was miserable. we all had head colds.
mine lasted only three days.
the snow slid off of the garage roof and landed
on the "eyebrow" roof that nephew Dan and I
built two summers ago. well, it works. I intended
for it to just deflect the snow far enough to plow
it away from the garage. it did that, and more.
the snow shot fifteen feet away from the garage.
will have to remember to not park any cars within
range when danger of melting snow is present.

Falling while downhill skiing and breaking my leg got me out of downhill skiing. I was always cold, anyway. My parents were both skiers, so of course we kids had to do it too.

The break was because my boot didn't release. It was a small, greenstick type fracture. I was 14, so 6 weeks in a cast, 2 more on crutches, and that was it.

Oh, to heal again so quickly...

Yes Jim, the electrician came and hooked up the electricity! It is great, much better lighting than the temporary set up hubby had in there. Good thing the electrician checked the wiring done previously. Otherwise the breaker would have kept popping when the baseboard heater came on....
Today i built the gate for my male goat's new pen. Attached it to his goat house. Pounded in the first t-post and attached that to the cattle panel . More to be done, put crosspieces on top so the roof can be attached, pull apart the wooden shelf unit i got from Lowes to make it into a platform to keep the goat off the ground while in his house, cut more lumber so it will be a solid surface that i can clean easily.

Cappy, you sound ambitious.
did you get your black and white rock home ?
I was going to plow and clean up the
parking area, but it rained all day. next
we are supposed to get 5" of the white slippery
stuff. can't complain about the above average
January temperatures. although it is still
cold..
