Yes, Scott, good lesson to share. I was using my circular saw to do some cuts i really should do with a jig saw. I am going to cut that out! Lol. Thanks

I do like the jig saw better then the circular saw. And after working in an ER I have seen just about everything.
I take everything as slow as I can just to be on the safe side.

Now if I could stop being so Lazy I may actually get the back spot level. But you know I have to take everyting slowwwww LOL

Ouch!!!
I was lucky, I learned my lesson way back when I was 22 years old. Once you run a finger (thumb) into a spinning blade and rip your whole thumb nail off , you become careful for the rest of your life. I was lucky,
there was still just a tiny bit of nail left, and the whole nail grew back from it.

I also take the guards off of my table saws.
to me they seem more dangerous than a help..

once I was ripping a 12 ft 2x4 eith a radial arm saw. It grabbed the board and walked it through by pulling it with a 10 inch blade.
that board launched off the end of the table and flew like an arrow all the way across a 40 foot basement. It hit the wall and bounced back half way.. it was awesome !!

another tip, if you drop anything, let it fall.
don't try to cushion the fall with your foot.

I got the forms set up for the next 4 ft pour. was going to do it today, but it looks and feels like rain.
I was right, Annie just came in and said it is raining. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

......jiminwisc......

I am going to work in the workshop, adapting those drawers i bought into nest boxes. And the work bench needs one more coat of paint. It is raining just enough to be a nuisance.

:lau:lau:lau

Done that before, table saw and much smaller stock.... it hit a window that thankgod didn't break...but it was pretty awesome.

Yeah, once the router did that, i was done with it. Back to the store with it. But my new tool, the impact driver has even husband admitting it works great! We made a pair of nest boxes out of two old drawers. Now i am wondering if it is deep enough. I will get pics of it.

Here are the drawers: 20170902_152950.jpg
And here is the double nest box: 20170902_153014.jpg
I am afraid i made it too shallow with that slope. The next one will be different.
