It is a beautiful sunny day, supposed to get up to 60. A great day to work on finishing a coop before winter hits. Now to drag myself out of bed and get some pills in my system!

My goals are to hatch Olive Eggers. Have a new Marans cockerel and two of his 'sisters', a couple of Cream Legbar pullets, and various EE hens. These eggs show the cockerel should be carrying good brown genes.Yep, eggs taste good no matter what color they are on the outside.
Depends on how you drill your pilot holes, and what you're screwing together.#7 1 1/2" screws, but there is no holding power in those fine threads

Oh, well, then.pilot hole or not, depends on how much you want to tighten them.
I like to make the heads just below flush. the threads strip out very often before this can be accomplished.
I am not about to countersink heads.
