Lake effect snow storm today already 6-8"
Got the coop path dug out this morning, snow thrower put on tractor yesterday.

good morning,
going to stay in the teens today.

drinking day old coffee this morning.
I drink only one cup a day, nobody else will be drinking any so it doesn't pay to make a whole pot..

I came up with what I thought was an original design for an adjustable honing guide. then I came across one on utube that is almost identical to mine.
great minds think alike, eh ?
now all need to find is a very tiny turnbuckle

does anybody sell wooden stick matches anymore ?

Hi Jim, Yes you can buy those matches at Walmart. I just bought some a few days ago.

it looks like the rabbits will have a real fine place to multiply, and multiply, and multiply.

I once visited a place where they sealed off a cow barn and just let the rabbits multiply and multiply.. there were hundreds of them of every color you can imagine.
IDK whatever became of them, that was about 50 years ago. who knows, they might have built on to the barn ??

I built two hutches for a client on time.
she never paid me for them, and then she gave them away. they were built like Fort Knox. I wonder where they are today ?

I have two hutches that I built up on legs.
they are 11 ft x 4 ft x 3ft high.
I have/had pictures of them somewhere.

I didn't get anything done today.
Annie's brother was going to come over and help me stretch the wire around the yard for the in ground dog fence.
It didn't take me too much convincing to get him to stay home because it was too cold to do it.. it is supposed to warm up to the low 30"s this weekend.

it just started to snow here. we are supposed to get about 3 to 5 inches.

I gassed up Ollie today and started him up for awhile. Ollie is my "Oliver 55" tractor.

I bought a package of wing nuts the other day. today I was digging through my junk looking for a turnbuckle. didn't find one, but I found a handful of wing nuts.:lau

Hey Jim, I am famous for not finding what i need until i buy another one!
I usually build mine with legs. This one will have legs attached once i put it in the goat shed. The last one i made was very heavy because i used thick plywood i had sitting around, and 2x4s . This time i am using left over barn board and scrap wood so it should be lighter. Hubby has already complained about how heavy it is. Well i guess i could make it out of bamboo!?

I forgot to tell you the slackers showed up today for about 2.5 hours today. So crazy, who goes to work an hour each way to get there and then only works a couple of hours?
Any way the one guy had such a bad sinus infection his ear drum ruptured!
So they put in 2 windows. Now it is too cold to pour concrete. Only one window left to go. But still lots of trim and such to cut and tack up, plus electric outlets to install.
I am sure they will not show up tomorrow because it will be cold.
My son sent me a book, Great Book of Woodworking Tips. The problem it is a bit beyond my depth , using how to you how you using tools i don't know
I have . But maybe it will someday it might use.

good morning,
wife can''t drink coffee today, so I did something I never did before. I re heated 3 day old coffee.. It really gets bitter..

the coops I built were very heavy. I made special forks for my tractor loader to lift them and carry them when I moved them.
I bought a stack of ginseng drying racks
a few years ago. they are 1x4 frames covered with 1" wire cloth. about 10 gage wire.
I built my greenhouse walls with 12 of them. and I built a fly pen out of 12 of them with an additional 6 for the roof.
right now our female dog is kenneled in the fly pen.

Hi all,
before I read the post, it looked like you had built in a bathtub..

I want to go out and plane some wood, but I don't want to go out when it is only 12F.

I would have to joint the pieces and the jointer is in the unheated garage.. so the fire in the shop stove wouldn't do me much good..

we have 4 or 5 inches of new snow. I am not going to do any plowing until it warms up.
maybe like in July ??

We are keeping Frankie in the house. she can take the cold alright, but we don't want her to have the puppies out in the cold.
she is due any time, now..
