One guy came to work on the goat shed today and he brought his 14 year old daughter. He just got her back from running off with a 30+ year old guy! So that is why he has to keep going to court. The 30 year old is headed for jail. I am not sure what our guy did today, maybe put up trim? Still another window to do and the concrete was never done.
I did go back to the workshop and cut wood for another divider and another door and painted all of it. I can assemble it tomorrow. The legs need to be painted as well. Somehow the top to the paint can disappeared. I am wondering if Mini might have , thinking it was a frisbee. We will see in the morning.

good morning,
I finally got so bored that I did go out and light a fire and cut all the strips for the butcher block I am making. It is solid oak .
12" x 16" and 2" thick.
very heavy. it will be the base for my tool sharpening table..
I ordered a 1/4" x 12'' x 16" piece of glass.
I can pick it up this morning.
there are about a dozen strips of oak that I will have to glue and clamp for the block.
I am thinking of doing the clamping on the kitchen table. I don't want to have to keep a fire going in the shop overnight until the glue sets.
going to the bone crusher this morning.
he is really helping me with my lower back.
I would say sciatica, but I am not sure how to spell it.. LOL My neck is becoming more limber, too.. I actually could turn my head while backing up the tractor.. kinda nice to see where I am going.. LOL

The guy came and worked some more today. He put the trim boards on and put the last window in. So now once i finish the cage tonight it can go in the goat shed.

If you are going to have goats in there,
you maybe should put some boards or wire cloth over the window openings on the inside. might save the windows from getting pushed out..?

I picked up my glass today. the guy on the phone said it would be around $10.oo but when I picked it up, it was $5.oo..
Merry Christmas, I guess..

I broke the news to Annie that I have to glue and clamp the boards in the house.
she was OK with that.

Hey Jim,
I am getting tired of a freezing cold workshop. Might have to get that insulation up!
Yes i plan to put hardware cloth on the window openings so the goats can't jump out! Not my first rodeo. We used cattle panel pieces in TN.
I need to paint inside and out. Build pens and hay loft. But first i need to figure the wood etc. I will need.
