Man!!! I take one day off and you all get chatty.
3 pages to catch up on..
I love ginger snap cookies with my coffee.
the harder the better.. but I don't care much
for ginger bread houses.. I must be weird ..

Frankie finally quit at 9 puppies.. she sure is a good mother.. we have her out on the sun porch. the floor is heated .. she goes outside to do her thing but she is back in just minutes and runs to the pups..
I will send pictures later. right now they look like white rats with stunted legs.. nothing to
ooo and awww at for a couple of weeks, yet.
at 8 weeks they will look like the one in my
avatar.

we had Christmas last night. DD #2 brought the biggest ham I ever saw. Honey glazed and not real salty.. there were only 8 people to eat it, so much of it went home with various people for lunch meat..

Cap, when you said a gingerbread coop, I
envisioned something six feet tall and six feet
wide..

Hey Jim, Merry Christmas! Glad momma and pups doing well. I would have made it bigger but constrained by budget, and oven size as well as time. Busy making another one of these....

I built another water warmer today.

It was a much faster build because i used part of a drawer for the bottom.

I started with an extension cord, a plug in light socket and a light bulb

I built a little do dad thingy to hold the light bulb off the bottom.

Insulated underneath the bulb to direct heat up. Don't worry Aart, see next step.

Concrete board underneath so heat doesn't go downwards.

Further insulation added.

Put the pan with the cord through it on top of the first part. I put insulation around the cord to prevent sharp edges from fraying the cord. Then duct taped in place.
