Helpful hints for building coops

So since i am very busy with building things i just went ahead and ordered a new incubator! So stinking eggcited!

I have a Brinsea Octagon 20, but it will be full of quail eggs for 18 days so i bought an Incuview! Terrific visibilty, and i have read good reviews. I was up past 2 am deciding what to get. The eggs arrived today! As well as the cardboard egg trays i wanted. I will let them sit over night.

I got the incuview too, clear top is awesome, controls kinda intimidated me until I got used to them.

I took the puppy to the vet this morning,
got a clean bill of health. have vet's certificate in hand. whe weighs 17 pounds.
bought a pet carrier. put the pup into it.
she could hardly turn around. took it back and got the next size larger.
will be taking her to the airport Monday morning..

I've been really lazy lately,. just waiting for spring to arrive..

I tried to take it easy today since the doctor said stay off my feet. My poor knees still have issues.
But such ideas never work out when you have animals to tend to and over 20 trees fall down on your property and there are branches everywhere!

In the middle picture all that green to the left of the buildings is live pine trees! One just fell over and one snapped off. Would have hit my truck but i had parked by the garage to unload feed.

Cappy, y ou just tend to those animals. don't try to clean up the trees all at once. they aren't going anywhere..
we had a wind about 4 years ago. snapped the tops off of about 10 tall pines in the wind break and pushed a soft maple down over our power line to the house.

Eggs went into the incubator yesterday, just the quail eggs....

I was surprised how big they quail eggs are, much larger than my quail in TN laid!

My Brinsea is chugging along, but not sure what the actual temperature is. I just put another thermometer in there. I think its around 100!°, but the thermometer that came with the brinsea says 96. Not happy about that.
