Helpful hints for building coops

my son and my oldest daughter worked alongside me often.
they both learned all sorts of useful trades.
DD did most of my painting. She even went and got a job with a contractor doing drywall..

I did every phase of the houses, from footings up to the roof cap.
the only plumbing leak I ever had was once when I had to hire a plumber. He forgot to tighten the fittings on top of the water heater. and It ruined the drywall ceiling below.

I got the floor of the rehab coop scraped and swept. Then I painted it. I am thinking I might paint the outside after supper.
Hubby is still on vacation. I am thawing some shrimp for shrimp cocktail. I have been craving seafood.

We're having naughty food tonight, popcorn shrimp and fish sticks. So bad and so good.

Finally got the permit for the shed so work can begin on the slab. Detail guy is supposed to be done with the house by Saturday so maybe we'll get to do the first on site inspection next week sometime.

I took the vinyl floor out and laid it in the coop. There will be enough, but there will be one seam. I am sure the chickens won't care. I went shopping today, and picked up the boards I need to replace on the coop. They are just fence boards, so not expensive.

When you put linoleum on a coop floor, do you run it up the side a little or just cover the floor exactly?

the mosquitoes seem to leave me alone when I am riding on the lawn mower. movement ? exhaust ? IDk but it is not bad.
I went grocery shopping with Annie yesterday.
I was really hungry. She bought me 3 crab cakes from the deli. when I got into the car I was going to eat them, but they were cold.
I waited until I got home and nuked one. It was edible, but not great. I nuked the second one and put ranch dressing on it.
I told her that what she paid for those cakes, I could have gone to King Buffet for Chinese..
I love seafood.

I sent an unsubscribe to HT. those people are too militant for my taste. clique too.
If I need to get agitated, all I have to do is talk to my sister in law for awhile. LOL
