If I bring the Dr's report, I don't have to take the DMV's test
First time I got 'real' glasses(other than drugstore 'cheaters') the doc told me "It's a good thing you didn't have this done at the DMV, they'd have suspended your licence"...gulp-whew!

I used to get new glasses to improve my vision to sharp and clear. Anymore, I just accept they can only do so much for eyes and settle well enough.
Better, but never really great...stinks, especially the loss of peripheral vision. Only get new ones when I can't read with the old ones anymore.

I think when you put chickens into a new coop they temporarily become a little confused, and fighting is the farthest thing from their little minds.
I am waiting for a ride to the VA eye clinic in Wisc Rapids. about 50 miles away.
My driver's license is due in Sept and I need an eye test. If I bring the Dr's report, I don't have to take the DMV's test.. we re-new driver's license every 8 years. I think this will be my last time. Pretty sure I will be too blind for the next one.

Oh no, your vision is failing? I hate to hear that.
The chickens put the boots to the younger ones. They were all hiding in the nest boxes. They did come out later in the day. Just need to establish pecking order.

I finally bought stones for my garden path, 330 pounds went this far...

I am going to need a lot more.

Deluge last night flooded garage and rearranged the chicken run bedding.
Wondered if I should pitch some chips into the 'under run'....
....flood floated a good layer in there for me.

No damage, just a lot of shop vaccing to do....then some swale and drain maintenance, that may have prevented this flooding of done earlier. <shrugs>

Yes Cappy, I have been fighting with glaucoma for a few years. gradually losing the battle.
Art, look at the bright side. You now have a super clean garage floor again.
Boots, I have just about given up on getting glasses that work really well.
I don't drive much any more. but I like to keep my license up just in case of emergency
License restriction, I can't drive at night. but I could if I had to if the light conditions are right..
getting old really sucks.

'Tis true....at least most of it.
I didn't move the pallets lining the walls(that keep stuff off the floor) to vac underneath them. Was going to replace those pallets a couple years ago, got someone to help empty the garage, but they were in really good shape and not much gunk under them either. I expected to find gobs of mouse nests and mold.

97% of the water has been removed from garage, the rest will have to dry on it's own, probably not quickly as the humidity has jumped up again.

It's kind of discouraging when you need a lot more materials than you planned...:hmm

It's going to look great when you've finished though!:thumbsup
I knew I wouldn't have enough, but the truck was already loaded with hay and I didn't want to spend too much all at once.
